What's in My Morning Ritual: My Soul-Aligned Everyday Favorites

I only ever share things I genuinely use and love and that support a conscious, soul-aligned life — never anything I wouldn't keep in my own sacred space. Thank you for supporting my work in this gentle way.

A little while back, I shared my current soul-aligned morning ritual— the grounding, gratitude, oracle-pulling, scripting rhythm that helps me begin each day centered and connected. Since then, a few of you have asked about the actual things I reach for each morning: the cup, the cards, the journal.

So I thought I'd gather them here — not as a shopping list, but as a peek into the small, meaningful objects that make my morning practice feel sacred. Every one of these is something I genuinely use and love. If any of them call to you, wonderful. And if you simply feel inspired to create your own version with what you already have, that's just as beautiful.

My warm morning cup

My ritual almost always begins with a warm beverage in hand. Most mornings it's my favorite mushroom coffee— I love that it's gentler on my system than regular coffee, so I feel cozy and clear rather than jittery. On other days, it's a comforting chai latte instead.

And because the vessel matters as much as what's in it, I pour it into a coffee cup I truly love. There's a quiet magic in choosing to sip slowly from something beautiful.

My journal

So much of my morning happens on the page — journaling what my oracle cards stir in me, and writing my daily scripting letters to the Universe. A journal you actually enjoy opening makes all the difference, so I keep a journal that feels special just for this practice. (If scripting is new to you, I share exactly how I do it in my post on scripting.)

A good pen that glides is a small joy I don't skip, either — when writing feels pleasurable, you're far more likely to keep the practice.

My oracle decks

Pulling a card each morning is one of my favorite ways to tune in. The two decks I’ve been reaching for as part of my morning ritual currently are the Inner Temple Oracle by Rebecca Campbell and the Isis Oracle by Alana Fairchild. Both speak deeply to my intuition and my connection to the Goddess, and their imagery and guidance never fail to offer me exactly what I need to hear.

If you're just beginning to work with oracle cards, choose a deck whose artwork and theme you feel genuinely drawn to — that resonance matters more than picking the "right" one.

My Goddess stories

I also love beginning the day in the company of the divine feminine, so I read a short entry from my Goddess Stories book. Steeping myself in these timeless stories and archetypes reminds me of the deeper currents beneath my ordinary day, and often the theme finds its way into my hours in the loveliest ways.

A candle for my sacred space

Finally, I almost always light a candle as I settle in. That small flame is my signal that this time is set apart — a soft, sensory cue that tells my whole body it's time to arrive. Choosing a beautiful, clean-burning candle in a scent you love turns an everyday moment into a little ritual in itself. I especially love a candle that has essential oils and crystals embedded in it that support my intentions This is the one I have been loving recently, but choose whatever intention, scents, and crystals that support your personal intentions.

Make it your own

None of these objects are what make a morning ritual sacred — you are. The magic is in your intention and your presence, not in owning the perfect things. But when the tools you use are ones you genuinely love, they become gentle invitations back to yourself, morning after morning.

If you'd like to build a practice of your own, start with just one item that lights you up, and let your ritual grow from there.
